Founded by Sophia Cherry, History with a Twist serves as a creative and unique educational resource focused on African American history and culture. For more than 12 years, her passion for African American history has resulted in the creation of engaging and interactive Black History Month events in the Tampa Bay community.

History with a Twist goes beyond the standard African American history usually taught in school. History-sharing can be provided in a variety of settings, wherever it is needed – from churches and schools to private events and parties.
